Being deaf in a hearing world is not easy, but it’s not impossible either. I started this podcast originally for a class assignment, but it soon became something more for me. It allowed me to rediscover something that was a part of me for a long time.

My deafness for me was always something I viewed as a hindrance, but it was a hindrance that I tried my best to keep hidden. Recently, I realized that by trying to pretend that my deafness was ‘not there’, I made it into an obstacle that I couldn’t avoid anymore.

That being said, this podcast is me talking about my deafness – the experiences that come with it, the limitations I’ve faced, how I’ve let it stop me from doing things that I wanted and how it made me scared. This podcast is me accepting that it is a part of who I am and that I should not be ashamed.

If you came upon this site to learn more about the deaf and hard of hearing, you came to the right place. If you’ve stumbled upon here by accident, I encourage you to have a listen and maybe learn something new.

Enjoy listening!
